Christmas Toy Drive
The holiday season can be tough on many levels, especially for those families who struggle and worry about providing their children with gifts on Christmas morning. Even though the reason for the season is not gift-giving/receiving, this year, LABA-Link wanted to help Canton, Mississippi, community members in this particular way.
The campaign was straightforward. LABA-Link would collect toys in a contribution box located at Green Ghost Tacos in Fondren. People who wanted to help could deliver their donations at the restaurant (2820 N State St, Jackson, MS 39216). The collection effort began on November 12 and ended on December 10. Brand-new toys were collected from all around the Greater Jackson, Mississippi, metropolitan area.

On the afternoon of December 12, board members and volunteers set up a tent at La Carnicería Valdez in Canton, Mississippi (1203 W. Peace St., Canton, Ms 39046) to hand out the donations.
